1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Clindice, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
2. Critical disclaimer — Clindice is a reference tool, not a clinical decision support system
Please read this section carefully before using Clindice.
Clindice is a clinical reference application. It provides educational and informational content about allied health conditions, treatments, anatomy, and clinical topics to assist registered health professionals in accessing information quickly.
Clindice is not:
- a clinical decision support system (CDSS)
- a diagnostic tool
- a treatment recommendation engine
- a substitute for professional clinical judgement
- a registered medical device in any jurisdiction
Content in Clindice is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not take into account the specific circumstances of any individual patient. No content in Clindice constitutes medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice.
Clinical decisions must always be made by a registered health professional on the basis of their assessment of the individual patient, in accordance with applicable clinical guidelines, professional standards, and the scope of their registration.
Users should make their own enquiries and form their own independent judgements rather than relying on Clindice content as an authoritative source. Clindice is not intended to be medical advice and should not be used as medical advice.
Novansa OÜ accepts no liability for clinical outcomes, patient harm, or decisions made in reliance on content accessed through Clindice.
3. Who can use Clindice
Clindice is designed for use by registered allied health professionals, students in accredited health programmes, and researchers. You must be at least 18 years old to use Clindice.
By using Clindice, you confirm that you understand the limitations described in clause 2 above and will use the app appropriately within your professional scope of practice.
Clindice is not intended for use by members of the general public for the purpose of self-diagnosing or self-treating.
4. What Clindice does
Clindice provides a searchable clinical reference knowledgebase covering allied health disciplines including (but not limited to) podiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology. Content is reviewed and curated by qualified clinicians.
We may add disciplines, update content, or change features over time. We do not guarantee that the content is current, complete, or applicable to any particular clinical context.
5. Accuracy and currency of content
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that content in Clindice is accurate and evidence-informed at the time of publication. However:
- clinical knowledge evolves and content may not reflect the most recent guidelines or evidence at any given time
- content is generalised and may not reflect the full range of clinical variation
- references to clinical guidelines or standards are provided for context and may have been updated since publication
You should always verify information against current, authoritative clinical sources and use your professional judgement accordingly.
6. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use Clindice for commercial purposes outside any licence granted to you.
You must not attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute Clindice content in bulk.
7. Intellectual property
All content, software, design, and database structure in Clindice belongs to Novansa OÜ or our content contributors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publish Clindice content outside of personal and professional reference use without our written permission.
8. AI-assisted features
Clindice may include AI-assisted search or content features. Any AI-assisted content:
- is provided for reference purposes only
- does not constitute clinical advice
- may contain errors and should be verified against primary sources
- is not generated by the AI in real time for specific patient scenarios
9. Service availability
We do not guarantee continuous availability of Clindice. We may update, modify, or take the app offline for maintenance. We will provide reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Clindice is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for clinical use
- We are not liable for any patient harm, adverse clinical outcomes, or losses arising from reliance on Clindice content
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or €100 if no fees were paid)
These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Estonian law or applicable consumer or professional protection law.
11. Professional indemnity
Use of Clindice does not affect your obligations under your professional registration, code of conduct, or professional indemnity insurance requirements. You remain solely responsible for your clinical decisions and actions.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms or misuse of the platform.
13. Changes to these terms
We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect by email or in-app notification. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
